Chartusian monastery Pleterje:
Pleterje Charterhouse is the only Carthusian monastery in Slovenia today. Nestled in the foothills of Gorjanci hills, her history is closely tied to Slovenia's own. The monastery was established in 1407 by Herman II. Carthusian monks produce honey, liquors, products of wax and clay, cheese and wine of very a good quality.

Open air museum:
In vicinity of the Pleterje monastery there is an open air museum. It presents the homestead as it appears 200 years ago. Visitors can see old houses, stables, hayrack, they are also taken inside the buildings to see so called black kitchen, pantry .The owner also has domestic animals such as hens, geese, goats .

Kostanjevica cave:
Kostanjevica cave is situated on the foothills of Gorjanci hills, near Kostanjevica town. This is the area of agitated ground which mostly consists of limestone. The water and tectonic moves during millenaries created wonderful and fairy constructions.

Wine cellars: The wine industry is quite well developed in this area. That is why there are some really good wine cellars.

Galerie Božidar Jakac: The Slovenian art works of the 20th century are presented in Božidar Jakac`s gallery.

Kostanjevica`s Formaviva: Formaviva`s characteristics, considering the material available, are sculptures, formed from oak wood. There are more than 100 sculptures exhibited in the nature around the Kostanjevica town, in gardens of former monastery and in its surroundings.
